Welcome to Waterside. Our Early Years unit comprises a nursery that welcomes children from 2 years old up to 4 years old, alongside a Reception class designed to accommodate up to 30 children. We are committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters early learning and development. Our dedicated staff ensure that each child receives personalised attention, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive growth through engaging activities and play-based learning.

During our recent OFTSED inspection (December 2024), it was noted:

'Children in the early years play and learn happily alongside each other. Skilled staff help pupils select the right resources to support their learning. The school has a calm and reassuring approach to pupils who sometimes find it hard to follow the behaviour policy. Well-trained staff ensure that pupils can recognise and reflect on their feelings and the impact these have on others.'
