We want our children to develop confidence in themselves, enjoy their learning and believe that they can achieve great things. Through rich learning experiences and memorable opportunities, we encourage every child to achieve their potential and become motivated, independent and lifelong learners.

In the Early Years, we provide a safe, nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment that supports children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development. We celebrate each child as an individual and foster a positive self-image, confidence and a lifelong love of learning.

Our values of Caring, Attitude, Respect, Effort and Safety (CARES) are central to life at Waterside. Our curriculum is designed to inspire curiosity, creativity and a genuine zest for learning. Children are encouraged to ask questions, think deeply and explore the world around them. Through meaningful and engaging learning experiences, including links with our local community and an awareness of current events, we help children develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need for the future.

We want our children to flourish and move confidently through each stage of their education. We value the partnership between school, families and our wider Waterside community, recognising that it takes a village to raise a child.
